OUR FOOD HEROES
We are so grateful for all the amazing food producers we have in Östergötland. Here are some of our favorites.
Nearby we have Patrik, Gudrun and Bertil at Vegalla farm, they grow delicious vegetables for us.
From Herrsäter we get flour that we use for waffles, bread and cookies, we are diligent users of most of their fantastic products, such as the marmalades, the salad cheese and not to mention their slightly magical hard cheese Sandö!
We mostly buy game from HC vilt and Werna Visthus, which produces fantastic fine game products.
For the thirsty, we have carbonated Borkhult water, apple must from our own garden and other good drinks from Brunneby or a locally produced ice-cold folk beer from Centralbryggeriet in Linköping.
FOOD AND DRINKS
At Café Lapphem, we mainly serve waffles with various toppings. We have classic sweet waffles with jam and whipped cream, or food waffles with salami, brie and marmalade from Herrsäter, or chèvre, beetroot and dandelion syrup, or smoked ham with salad cheese from Herrsäter.
Above all, the menu depends on the season and the chef's mood! Regardless, it's always very very good.
Our hotel guests are served a two-course dinner based on food preferences and what the season can offer.
Everything we serve is organic, locally produced and sustainable as much as possible.
We are proud members of the association Östgötamat and most of the food producers we work with are members of this diligent and ambitious association.
