NATURE RESERVES AND HIKING
Borkhult is beautifully located, close to forests and lakes. There are several nature reserves and hiking trails with fantastic nature experiences. We are happy to advise on nice day trips or trips with an overnight stay in a wind shelter.
Hästenäs kyrkskog is a collection of several hiking trails and you can read more about them here.
Vegalla nature reserve is also nearby, but it is badly affected by spruce bark beetle and it is almost impossible to follow the hiking trails. You can read about it here.
Östgötaleden passes about 6 km from Borkhult. Långserum is a nice village to start in.

RENT A CANOE
Paddle out on Lake Borken and enjoy the silence. Canoe hire takes place in Kafé Lapphem. Read more here.

Borkhult is surrounded by the lakes Yxningen, Borken and Såken. Ask us and we'll show you where you can take a wonderful swim!
BOAT TRIP ON LAKE YXNINGEN
Rent the ship Theo or the beautiful saloon sloop Svanen, with skipper, for a beautiful trip on lake Yxningen.
Theo takes up to 35 passengers and costs
SEK 5,000/ 2 hours, SEK 7,000/ 3 hours
Svanen takes 12 passengers and costs
SEK 2,000/ 2 hours, SEK 2,800/ 3 hours.
